In early January we finished work on our 1972 Airstream Excella (31 ft.). We re-upholstered the interior, painted the walls, put in new plumbing and repaired rotted flooring. It is now living in North Carolina on our property. I started looking for a new project and for some reason I got this crazy idea to find a small camper to redo and use. Not too crazy, right?
Well, we found one. A partially gutted 1972 Shasta 16sc. It still had the stove (avocado green), bathroom (harvest gold toilet) and kitchen cabinets. All else is missing. And that started this journey. It comes home for the weekends and my husband and I are slowly ripping out the remaining paneling and are re-building the interior, will add a new freshwater system, water heater and refrigerator. Oh, I already found a replacement range hood on e-bay for $ 12.99. It's black but I'm planning on trying to match the beautiful avocado green stove. Which is in pristine condition. Wish us luck!
